In the summer of 2014 I took a week-long trip by barge down the Canal du Midi from Carcassonne to Beziers. I had visited the canal for the first time two years previously and was keen to return to various points along my journey with a view to further study. The Canal du Midi holds a special fascination for me as it combines two of my favourite subjects, dappled light and reflections.
