My large silverware and flower pieces have become something of a signature style for me and one which owes much to my formal training. Although traditional in format I like to work in very bright colours accentuated and thrown into sharp relief by their placement against a predominantly dark background, something borrowed from 16th century Flemish painting along with the near table height viewpoint.
